A native of Northern California, I was introduced to art and design at an early age by my mother. She brought me to art openings, galleries, museums and various design showrooms. Her passion for design inspired me to incorporate art in every facet of my life.
I received my BFA at the University of California, Berkeley and continued my education painting in Florence. It was there that I was able to surround myself with the art of the European Masters. After spending countless hours studying them in the windowless basements of the Berkeley libraries, nothing can compare to seeing the paintings in their intended environments.
I am now fortunate to split my time between San Francisco and Santa Cruz and I benefit greatly from the inspiration that both environments bring me. When I am not in my studio, I spend my time gardening, entertaining friends and completing various and never-ending renovating projects around our home.
